Just thought I would share this with everyone.
http://ww2airsoft.net/
This is a conversation I had with one of the company reps. These are some of the details and above is the link to thier page. Mariposa says: hello Mariposa says: my question was who is the manufacturer of these products? Supplier says: we make them ourselves Supplier says: the internals are bought from a reatiler Supplier says: retailer* Mariposa says: and is there any kind of guarantee on the product and its reproduction? Supplier says: we garentee it wont break if handled properly Supplier says: if its broken when you receive it Supplier says: we will replace it Supplier says: all guns are thoroughly inspected before shipment Supplier says: but we wont replace it if it is seized by customs Supplier says: you read the red text on our website? Supplier says: on basicaly all the pages Mariposa says: is the gear box and gears metal or is the gun 100% ABS plastic? Supplier says: the gearbox can be metal but that would change the price Supplier says: the outer part of the gun is made of heavy duty plastic Supplier says: the reason for that is because there is too many problems with canadian law involving replica firearms Mariposa says: What kind of plastic? Supplier says: .09 Mariposa says: yeah Abs plastic or Canadian Tire Clear soft plastic? Supplier says: abs Mariposa says: that's clearer than now I know what kind of durability I have. Mariposa says: Do they fit common air soft gear boxes or is it a one off product that you guys have made? Supplier says: its made for a specific gearbox Supplier says: if there is any special gearbox that you want put in it we can do that Mariposa says: that's cool thanks for the in formation.. I will be sure to share the information with all the air softers I know, try to increase your sales but for now I am waiting for the M-40 and the Luger pistol. Supplier says:: our mp40 is available we just havent added it to the product list yet Mariposa says: price? Supplier says: about $150 Supplier says: we havent worked out our final price so were open for deals Mariposa says: do you accept local pick ups or do you only ship by mail.. to try and save shipping costs. Mariposa says: And do they have any trade marks on them or are they just plain janes (will the luger actually say Luger on it or will it just look like it? Supplier says: there are no trademarks Supplier says: we dont allow local pickups right now but we can give cheap shipping Mariposa says: ok thx P.S. I wasn't sure where to post this... sorry if it is in the wrong spot. |

It (the thread) would probably find a good home under this section: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=95
In any case, that's a very interesting find. Too bad they don't allow local pickups (yet) because I'm hesitant to buy from a place offering such low prices, for what are very sought after items amoung us WW2 re-enactors. Then again, the prices are very low. |

Hahaha, I can only imagine running, jumping and then plopping down on a burm by some hill, only to plop down the MG42 down and have both bipod legs shatter.

Not to mention what damage might be done by bb's against 0.090" plastic.
However, I'd be interested in a Luger or P38 to fill a holster. |

I'm not sure what to make of this D:
$130 isn't much of a loss anyway, for a BAR. I mean... if it does break, you still got a neat looking model. EDIT: I wanna know more about the reliability of these here AEG's D: Last edited by Andres; June 27th, 2007 at 00:39.. |
