how is the eye relief on those thing...I tried the Docter red dot sight at Dave's Surplus and I really did not like the eye relief, I had to lean quite close to see that dot, but it was early in the morning and I still did not had my morning coffee...also when I looked at it I was also looking at the EOtech 551, much better and also 4X the price

It's not really fair to compare the two that way, the EOTech is a holographic sight while the Docter sight is a reflex sight. Considering that the lens area on the EOTech is likely 200-500% larger than the Docter sight, it's no surprise that it's easier to acquire the reticle on the larger sight.

And yes, I've used both back to back. Well, it wasn't a Docter sight, it was an Optima 2000 (now Jpoint), but same difference.

What are you talking about? It's an open/reflex red dot sight - not a magnifier. There is no eye relief.

Are you sure you were looking at a Docter Sight? Mine costed almost as much as my real EOTech 551 (~$400)

Once you get used to it, with enough training to bring your weapon up to ready, your muscle memory is enough to get the dot in line with your sight. The ring of the sight is also very thin, which gives you as much of a view in front of you as possible, without clouding it. It's a great sight and prefer to use it over almost any of my other optics.
