Great idea, but with a mag capacity of 130 rounds? If they are expensive I sure as hell wont want to have to buy several of these magazines if im playing indoors or at an extended night game, and have to constantly reload after im out.

I don't know... I cannot see it being as effective as the tracer unit although it probably would be cheaper. With the bb's being lit inside the magazine they are going to lose some glow by the time they exit the barrel. I would also have to think that the first shot in the barrel is going to be blocked from getting illuminated so semi auto shots may not look so good. I'd also have to wonder is it lit all the time and if so, is it going to be harder on batteries because of that. Oh I give it credit for being a novel approach, but since I don't own an M16 it's no use to me.

I just got my tracer unit last week and I love it! Firing at night is just so cool that I need to buy another one for my P90 now.

Man that is so awsome words cannot describe how awsome that is! If the capacity can be upped say by means of a dual mag system so one is a resovour and the other is the illumination unit it would be a great compromise between capacity and a bulky tracer unit!

I do believe that the BB will not be "flashed" untill that little button is compressed when you load a mag.

G&P Midcap= $16.00US
TM Tracer= $82.00US

I'll take a stab and say the G&P Tracer Mag will cost $50-75 CAN

Good idea aside, my experience thus far using several mag types including G&P mids, is that the only mag worth its salt is the Marui lowcap. Everything else is frustrating garbage. Maybe others like to turn their gun upside down, whack it, shake it, give it the magic blow to get it to shoot, but I'll forever be suspicious of any other mag.

So much depends on the mags in airsoft... cheap n cheerful doesn't cut it, flashing lights or not.

Yea, but remember you'll also need 2 AA PER mag that you get also. Definately not going to be something you go with a loadout of more than 5 mags. Granted, they are midcaps, so that should be sufficient (for most).

i would definatly buy that if i can afford the tracer bb's. i have the tracer for my sig 552 but since my inner barrel sticks half way through the tracer unit with my m4, i can't make the tracer work with it. it's nice knowing that i can have tracers without having to buy a shorter inner barrel for the m4. it's also good if you dont' want a silencer looking thingy on ur gun.

p.s. i can sell u a package of energizer 12xaa or aaa at cost. just pm me. hehehehehe. i never use rechargables cause i can get aa or aaa batteries cheap.

I was considering taking a high intensity LED and a battery and sticking it inside a box mag for my M249 for tracer fire fun. The $150+ for a Marui tracer unit is a joke. Great to see G&P coming out with the same idea in a 30-round mag! I'll definitely be buying some.

As for the price, wait till eHobbyAsia gets them. Then they'll be cheap.

Simply use a black light on the BBs. They will glow 'right away' instead of having to flash them with a light.

That's what POff used to do and it works wonders.

Wow, how small can you get a blacklight? There is enough extra space in a P90 mag that I could prob fit one in. Now that would be a novel idea indeed.

The trick is to light them up using the blacklight before you load them in your mag. Not fitting a blacklight inside your mag or tracer unit.

well actually, if you can manage to fit a blacklight in the mag, i don't see why not... just remember to turn it off... or something...

Poff used to put the blacklight thingy in his boxmag. So the bbs were always exposed as they were fired.

To be really nut, you could connect the blacklight to the trigger power, so that everytime you pull the trigger, you expose the bbs to fluolight... (or the winding system of the box).

Just a though...
