G36 stock swap (inner lock issue)

Hey everyone,

New to the forum and airsoft as a whole but hoping to get some insight on removing the stock locking mechanism (button and latch) from the skeleton stock on my jg g36c so I can install the folding retractable stock.

I have the button out and the screws loose on the inner latch but cannot get it out for the life of me. Is there a trick to removing it? Or do I just need to use more force?

Thanks,
