Elcan Focus Adjustment

Hey guys,

I recently just got an elcan 4x scope. It's really nice I must say. Unfortantly the picture of the cross-hair isn't focusing well with the things I'm looking at. Either the picture is clear and the cross hair is blared and or the other way around.

Anyone know how I could make the adjustment? I know most scope you could adjust it through the view point closest to your eyes, but the elcan is cover in rubber :/

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What kind of Elcan is it? I have a C79, its legit, and you shouldn't be having this issue.
What model is it, and where did you buy it?

I got it from a local airsofter. Here's a picture of it.

It's a 3.4x Elcan Replica (C79 model) by G&P I believe.

There's really no "Adjustment" in terms of focus on the C79.

The clones are garbage. Your issue isn't one that can be fixed.

I have a real one, unless up close, as in CQB, I've never had issues seeing through it.

I've found most airsoft magnification optics to be really crappy in one way or another.. it's almost worth it to go 1 or 2 steps up into low end real steel.

If you are willing to spend 160 on say the 1-4x specter elcan, then why not 200-250 on a barska or utg scope?

If you're looking to spend no more than 100 for magnified, your pickings are slim, almost not worth it unless you can try before you buy.

you can try to contact the person who sold you. He probably ripped you
Because these low mag things shouldn't have adjustable focus..

If you want the military look then you might have to spend a lot more to get one that's actually good. The replicas tend to be crap. Maybe if you are lucky you get a good one, but chances..

I use sun optics which can be mounted on real steel guns (like .22), not the best optics, but for airsoft it's really good and cheap..But most of their stuff doesn't look cool enough lol..I use a shorty forty 2-6x40mm, although I set it at 3x the entire time. still cheaper than getting out and buying a decent "cool" looking replicas. They are usually sub 150 dollars...

just to my exp it's either came in like that, or the guy used it to a point where somehow it broke and he sold it. Because even tho we say it's junk, usually they come in fine, and after like a month or so, they start to break down. (weird thing it never happened to me yet, cheap junk still worked for me. but again if they break it's just a paper weight)

Although OP should of inspected it if it was local dude who sold him...
No evidence, hence the asking, maybe he is nice enough to "admit" it and give him a refund. If not, I don't suppose he can do anything about it. If you don't ask, then nothing will happen then that paper weight lol...

The elcan clone is shit. Even the spectre variable is shit as you have to re-zero every time you change the magnification. I run he spectre 4x fixed magnification on my p90 and works like a dream paired with the built in laser.

+1 for the fixed-zoom Specter clones... no moving parts means it's reliable and should last years. Since it doesn't have the 1x I get them (I have 2) with an auto-brightness Docter red dot on top. Works like a dream.

If that's not your style, and you don't feel you need zoom, the $200 Holosun is real steel, and a really, really nice optic for airsoft as well, just doesn't have military looking trademarks.

Bass pro, sail, mil/le supply places, yer local gun shop (lebaron perhaps?) I personally have given up on all but reddot clones. I Run a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40mm on my bolt action. And am currently saving for a Schmidt and Bender 1-8x24 pmII short dot for my 417 DMR build. Why, because its the standard patroll scope for the g28e3 (a variant of the 417) looks badass and will last a lifetime im sure. It better at what i figure will be 2000-2500 bucks lol http://www.schmidtundbender.de/en/pr...-shortdot.html

Edit, looks like itll be closer to 3500 by the time it gets here lol
