Setup for DMR

i am trying to decide on what optic setup to go with my DMR. Its between a specter dr with my ofset docter sight, or get a FTS magnifier for my holo sight?
I am leaning more towards the specter for now, just dont know which exact one. Any opinions or advice will help. Especially on brands. thanks guys

I found the "flip-to-the-side" to be fairly useless honestly. Try an ACOG style, Spectres are cool but they are large and heavy. Personally, I'd recommend a scope with great eye-relief/viewing area and variable zoom. 2x-4x etc, so you don't need combos are anything.

Have to agree that flip to side optic isn't of much use unless you're playing CQB but then why bring your DMR.

Recommend a 1-4x28 long eye relief variable zoom scope. 4x is plenty of magnification for airsoft, the long eye relief makes it easy to use, costs about $100. "Sniper" is a company that makes the one I have, it's pretty good.

On the contrary, I find the flip to side very good and usefull. Mine got 4x and it's plenty to ID targets and shoot.

On my sniper rifle, I either shoot on 4x or 6x with my scope. Rarely needing more magnification.

For a DMR, you need both magnification and close range capability in a second.

If a flip to side scope is not favored, I'd take a small scope with a small red dot on top.

Im not really a big fan of the FTS, also it looks like it would take up a lot of rail space. Thats why i was leaning more towards the elcan.

I have also been looking at some RS scopes. Does anyone have any specific brands or models? Right now i am looking at..

Not to big, and ill be able to put my offset docter sight beside it. 1-6x so itll be perfect for any engagement.

That option is viable too. The only drawback is the field of view for close engagements. A red-dot alow you to shoot with both eye open with no eye releif. This scope is a bit more restrictive.

This is my rifle with the flip to side scope. It take as much space as a regular scope. If less.

Ive heard a lot of positive reviews, but like u said, ive read that a few times. How much is a RS version?

about $2200.00 for a RS one. Not sure about ITAR restrictions tho
