M4/ M16A1- Which one's better, and what company makes the best?

Yeah so, I was thinking of getting either an M16A1 or an M4, and I was wondering which company makes it the best (except Tokyo Marui because I want a full metal one). I'm looking for one with decent firepower and rate of fire, price range is whatever but I don't want the super high priced systema ones since they're pretty powerful.

All I'm looking for is a good quality, reliable and good for beginners to the version 2 gearbox gun. I was thinking G&G or KWA, but I've heard that with a G&G, tweaks have to be made before the gun can be used. I had a friend who bought a G&G FN-Scar and it broke down on him within a month...

So some advice on some info would be nice

try looking for AGM brands, they are somewhat same level clones as JG but most AGM brands are metal.

I'd have to say KWA builds the best Armalite platforms. They shoot 400FPS out of the box, are Li-Po ready, and come fully upgraded with an 8mm bearing re-enforced v2 gearbox.

They have been compared with Systema PDW's for build quality, and the asthetics are quite good too if you don't care about trades.

KWA is my vote.

i love the star ar's. i would reccommend the 16 and it gets some pretty awesome range and accuracy.

PTW, but the cost thing.... I was gonna go with a KWA. I've heard many good things about them.

Looks like he's in America so he won't get raped as badly if he decides to go with a PTW.

My personal opinion is the Tokyo Marui is the best of the stock standard weapons and truly reliable.
Its a good starter weapon, and you can always upgrade to a metal body and other bits and pieces when you have the extra cash or feel like pimping out your weapon.

But I am biased, as I mostly own TM's (8) and 1 G&G G4 CQB-R.

The G&G CQB-R is a very recent purchase and I am still evaluating its performance and reliability.

I have sat back and watched other people and their different brands, such as Classic Army and JG, and have seen some of them have issue after issue. I tend to let other people test the water first, and try not to buy possible problem child's.
But in saying that, every brand can have lemons.

I would actually recommend staying away from the KWA line. They DONT use 8mm bushings they use a combo of 8 and 9mm bearings along with some other nonstandard parts that are hard to come by. TM , G&G , CA are all good starter guns that should get you on the field and able to compete.
