If you paint the insides of the optics lense covers (i.e. so when you flip them open it's still camo'd)...you'll impress even the elitists...

Would you be one of those elitists Tys?
I seriously thought about painting the inside of the flip-caps but I couldn't be bothered... plus I think it would gum up the mechanism on the front spring-loaded cap...

LOL...I'm no elitist...my gear doesn't match (black/OD/CB...all at once), my guns are pieced together from whatever I have left over from builds, quite a few of my mags have electrical tape holding them together, my bb loader sort of works, my radio looks like not-so-fancy Lego...

But my stuff works, and I'd like to think that I know how to use it well. Regardless of all the above, I just have a hell of a good time playing!

Amen to that!
I must admit that I really enjoy pimping / working on my gear ( what little of it I have so far! ) but playing a decent game trumps all of that...

I have been thinking the last little while about building myself a nice bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle from scratch... I'll be getting a CNC Mill sometime in the next few months and that would be an awesome first project
I was thinking of making something that's fairly rare like a Barret M107!

Read up on manufacturing a firearm or replica before you decide to build one....

Very nice! One question, why the tan color on a dark camo?

It's actually a TM Velocity Reducer... my gun runs a bit hot for average CQC and the velocity reducer is a great way to be able to quickly adjust my muzzle velocity to whatever it needs to be...

Because that was one of only 4 colors that Canadian Tire had in the Krylon Camo series

Well partly anyway... the lighter sections tend to break up the outline of the gun quite effectively! If I had to paint the gun again from scratch I would still include them.

If you uses the krylon camouflage series of paint, make sure you throw a clear coat on top of that, That paint seems to come chip and scratch very very easily.

Thanks for the tip! The paint looked like it would scratch relatively easily... In all honesty I'm not too worried about it. Wear and tear will just add character to a certain point. And beyond that point it just becomes an excuse to do better on a new paintjob

Personally, I'd cut the tabs off if I were painting the mags...but overall I like it!
