Just to let people know, I found tetrafluororethane at walmart. I was looking at refils for airhorns, looked on the back, and there it was. I don't know i it could be of use or not, as it had a twist-on valve thingy.

okok i have saved the day. for any one having any problems finding tetrafluoreothane there is a product at wallmart called safe t horn. it is a marine signal horn that has refill canistars for 10 bucks that are filled with tetrafluoreothane. you can find them in the sporting goods sections.

I saw them, but thought it had a wacky end piece on it...not sure if an adapter would fit..

sorry you are right, there is no end peice so you would have to devise a way to get the gas out. possibly a propane adaptor would work, it just wouldent screw on thats all

I used to use a custom adaptor for LetraJet cans:

Similar design principle to the propane adaptor with a differently threaded bottle fitting and different probe diameters. IRC the thread on the LetraJet can is 7/16-24 which is a bit of an odd one.

I did some quick research. Blow Off has two versions: one is a tall can of 8 oz. That one has petroleum hydrocarbons. There is also a small can of 10 oz. that says "non-flamable" and does not contain petroleum hydrocarbons.

For those in the Ottawa region, I found mine at Computerise in Orléans. They normally keep the 10 oz. cans in stock.
