Difference Between ASC Sponsers And Those In Retailer Section

Hello

I been waiting almost 2 weeks to be age verified. The local rep from Ottawa is no longer offering the service and we don't have anyone in Ottawa to verify it

I have been visit ASC everyday. I notice we have a handful or retailers who are site sponsers and we can easily click on links to there sites. Are there more online retailers in the private section ?

Are they better than the ones who are sponsoring on the site ?

What am I missing out ?

It sucks that we need to wait to get age verified to see the retailer section. On the other hand those who aren't can click on some sponsers and get access to some stock level

Is there a list of Ontario or Canada retailers that we can have access to or is it a must to be veriried. Google can only do so much ....

You get access to much more in the verified sections. Sometimes verifiers go on holidays, work, go through divorces, etc. If your closest isn't available then try your next closest and so on. Sometimes you have to travel a bit. The nice part is once the verification process is done, which is a quick meeting, the activation only takes a day or two versus the weeks it used to take. All of our verifiers are volunteers however so you'll have to be patient. It's worth it though and creates a much safer and accountable community to share information and buy/sell in.

The problem is not the drive. Petawawa which is 2 hrs can be done but getting time setup to meet sm1 and drive back is a pain.

I been told that being verified will open not just retailers but also to classified.

I like doing research and managed to go thru what google suggested. Prob is ottawa is big into g&g guns but i am reading vfc are better. Most retailers dont have vfc in ottawa. Neither does the fields. They can bring a specific gun but i have to buy it. I always like to try something before i buy.

Been reading a lot. Lurkingknight local of ottawa has been giving advise on guns.

I have 1000 cash to play around

Need recommendation on what to buy. I wanna spend 55% on thw gun ns remaining on the rest .... any suggestions ?

Yes VFC is better. Lots of retailers in Canada have free shipping over X amount, so that's easy. Still recommend getting verified if you can, it'll help.

Really?
Getting blasted in the face is a pain
Rolling your ankle is a pain
Freezing your ass off is a pain
The cost of Airsoft is a pain
5 - 6 hours drives to a game is a pain

By now, the market has changed so much that you can find almost all the vendors here with google. It was different when you had to meet people in a parking lot to see what he had that month, when it was a tough sell to register a brick and mortar business to deal airsoft goods. It still is like that if you want to buy used guns more or less, which is why the AV system is still good, to guarantee you have someone of greater trustworthiness than someone from kijiji.

But it is true, there is no more verifier in the national capital region.

Apply to be an Age Verifier, you have been on long enough and I am sure there are enough people to vouch for you

I've haven't gotten out much either. But I still manage to meet up with someone at a McD'S or timmies when it is convenient for me. It's still on your times and your terms.

too busy otherwise, my other activities don't give me much time. I had to cut down a lot of gun work this year because I wanted more time for myself, so if I'm turning money away because I'm starting to value my time more, I won't be taking any voluntary work, sadly, otherwise I'd be taking more guns to pay more bills. lol.

Yes. If you ever change your mind I'd set you up as an AV Rep. I get maybe one-two requests a month that take about five or so mins at my local Tim Horton's. Sometimes I run out after dinner and quickly do one, or on my way home from work. I do like to chat with new members a bit, but you don't have to draw it out. Anyways, keep it in mind.
