CYMA CM.028 metal receiver upgrade

Hello all,

This is my first post on ASC, did a quick search on the topic, and couldn't find anything related so I decided to make a new thread. I have decided to tinker with my old CYMA CM.028s AEG and was looking at the possibility of trading out its plastic receivers with metal ones. As far as I know, such a thing should be possible as it is a TM clone. Are there any Canadian retailers selling metal kits for these guns? I would prefer a full stock version but am open to anything.

Max

007air soft may be able to help you out. Bought ßrc metal body for one of my aks. They don't come with trigger/mag release though

with the cost of the cyma, I'm not sure if it's worth it. You should be able to find a new cyma ak for around 200 bucks, trying to locate and have a receiver set shipped to you even landed will cost you at least half of that. If you have an upgraded gearbox and such and want to retain them, just buy a new metal cyma and swap gearboxes and whatever else and retain the old one as a backup gun or sell it.

I never like to mix and match brands of receivers and gearboxes to make frankenguns, they always develop issues that are hard to solve. They'll drive you nuts and end up being time and money pits.
