Looking for machine work for custom flash hider

Hello all,

I am looking for someone capable of a little custom machine work to mill a flash hider for me that does not already exist in the airsoft world.

In a nutshell, I am looking to have this made:

But with the same dimensions of this SPR flash hider (see below):

So that I can mate it with this:

So that it will look like the muzzle device on the end of this:

And will therefore be functional as an attachment point for this:

Which will make me as happy as this:

Rough dimensions required would be:

-Diameter approx: 20.5mm
-Rear outer threads on the SPR hider seem to be somewhere between 21 x 1.0mm & 22 x 1.0mm CCW (the RS version is 22 x 1.0mm CCW)
-Angled cuts are approximately 5-6mm wide, 35-40mm long and sit at a 5-10 degree angle (not sure of the exact angle)
-Standard 14mm CCW inner threads
Inner barrel shaft: 9mm

If anyone's able to do this or knows someone who can, please let me know via Reply or PM!

Thanks for looking!

Shadow

The problem is that I want to continue using my Ops Inc. SPR Suppressor which attaches using a threaded flash hider like the one in this image.

In RS, the Smith Vortex flash hider and Allen Engineering M4 collar replace the SPR flash hider allowing one to use the suppressor. The 2 piece combination is unique to only CANSOFCOM C8 CQB rifles which is why I want to try to duplicate it as closely as possible.

Ah. Well good luck then, friendo. I've had to compromise on some of my builds too, but I hope you find somebody who can help.

Maybe take a look at CNC/machining forums based in Canada or maybe even try reddit. You can usually get in touch with someone who is willing to help. Might not be cheap, just fyi.

The main issue is to make theses twists you need a 4-axis machine.

Or cut the slots straight in a tube, then twist it before cutting it to length.

If you can find a vortex-style hider that has extra material at the back where you need threads, it can be done easy in any machine shop. (Like that ICS one).
Or one that is larger than the threads, have it cut down and threaded.

Yeah that seems to be the hurdle. Most machine shops in my area that will look at small projects like this don't have a 4-Axis and those that do are too busy with larger jobs!

That may be the only option! Thanks for the insight Kos-Mos.
