John here:

Anal me decided to take up Tys' challenge but also upgrade all the wiring to the 16awg wire we sell... Managed to get it to work but things would have been alot easier and cleaner if I used the stock wiring because it allows for tighter bends.

Setup:
Gate Electronics PicoSSR
Lonex SP120 Spring
Core 13:1 Gears
Lonex Blue Piston - swiss cheesed
Lonex POM piston head - bearings removed
Lonex Cylinder Head with 40D Sorbo and Neopad
Stock VFC Ferrite Magnet Motor
Gens Ace 11.1v 1300mAh 20C battery - fully charged at 12.6v
Everything else is VFC

No idea what the ROF is, but here's a video.

The Lonex pistons (both blue and red) are very heavy. From memory they weigh in at ~18g. I got mine down to 17g by drilling a couple holes through it, but with more elaborate techniques you can probably get it down to 15g. For comparison, SHS pistons are 15g already. There's not much you can do about the 14 tooth ones but you can Swiss cheese the 15 tooth to bring it down even more.

The piston bearings, with the two washers, weigh around 2g. To be honest, if you have a bearing spring guide, the piston bearings are redundant. As a result, to reduce the weight of the piston assembly, I removed the bearings completely. I know this setup will hover around 28RPS. Experience tells me that I will have an issue if I don't lighten everything.

I really wished the PicoSSR would fit right inside the channel for the wires. Unfortunately it's a tad too fat with the heat shrink on, and I didn't want to force it in. You will also notice that I didn't use the heat shrink provided, but used regular 6mm heat shrink. As Steve noted, the included stuff melts into a waterproof coating. I had no use for that and it would've made things hard to change in the future.

I got an interesting challenge, I have a TM Glock 18c AEP and lets see if it can fit while having room to put in the stock battery.

Update:

So after Stephen and I managed to burn out a couple of these, we decided to consult Gate as to what was happening. Turns out these PicoSSRs didn't like 11.1v lipos. Anyway, they took our concerns to heart and long story short - sent us new ones with upgraded components.

Yesterday I installed it into the same VFC box shown above and grabbed the biggest 11.1v lipo I have. Looking good

Specs:
This gun pulls 25A continuous (measured with Watt Meter). 60+amps on startup estimated
Chronograph: XCoretech X3200 with 0.25g TSD BBs

Gearbox Setup:
Lonex M120 Spring (~400fps with 0.20g)
Core 13:1 Gears
Lonex Blue Piston - Swiss Cheesed
Lonex POM Piston Head
Lonex Cylinder Head
40D Sorbo Buddy from Airsoft Store Canada
VFC Ferrite Motor (Black Can)
11.1v 2200mAh 65C A-Spec Turnigy Lipo
All other parts VFC

Unfortunately it was a one man job with an iPhone as the camera. The other half of Airsoft Store Canada was preoccupied with more "urgent" matters.

Anyway it was shot in 1080p so you guys should be able to see everything clearly on the computer.

X High Tech high-torque motor
M140 spring

Continuous amps drawn: 37 Amps
Peak amps drawn: ??? (theoretically can reach as high as 3.5x the continuous amp draw, so 130 Amps?)
