WE M4 GBBR (or PDW) - how to make trigger lighter

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make the trigger pull lighter?

Cheers

Well, that would require a weaker trigger spring, which, in my knowledge does not exist.
The trigger pull on WE is pretty light already, well its a ton compared to an aeg but it is still pretty light. maybe try detensioning the trigger spring a bit?

Thanks guys, will see how it fairs with one spring. I guess I'm used to AEG and the lighter pull on the KJ m4.

Cheers!

If you know what you're doing, you can adjust the engagement angle of the sear and the hammer hooks. A more obtuse angle would result in a lighter pull. Just be careful how far you go, or you could end up with runaway fire.

Even a good polishing to the existing surface will help lots to smooth out the pull.

you have absolutely no idea what he is talking about. there is 1 trgger spring in the WE trigger box. 1 trigger, 1 hammer, and another one for the flappy thing.

I had a particularly gritty replacement trigger from CWI. I thought about polishing it, but I didn't want to remove the protective finish from the steel. So what I did was took my assembly apart, cleaned up all the parts as best as I can, lightly removed any obvious burrs and whatnot, and then used Ultra Slick on the engagement surfaces.

Trigger pull's a bit lighter and smoother now... I can actually feel the point where the trigger pull breaks now.

Before you start to change the angles of engagement, just clean them with a fine stone. Even a little burr can change the feel. If you start changing the angles....watch some of the better YouTube videos to note positive vs. negative engagement and how little is actually necessary.

Often just squaring off the surfaces so there's a clean break is sufficient.

And these aren't real steel parts...often the finish is one of the harder parts of the piece

that is a trigger spring. i have no idea to what your refering to, Unless you are refering to a GHK pdw which looks like it has 2 trigger springs ( one is for sear and other for trigger) doesnt matter, in all cases you are completely wrong.

You posted a picture of a hammer spring, what are you trying to get at? I just took apart a WE M4 for repair last night, there are two springs, one of each side, of the assembled trigger/disconnector.

The spring you posted refers to the HAMMER spring, not trigger spring. You are the one that is wrong. The WE M4/PDW/SCAR all have two trigger springs, one on each side as thenooblord and green energy indicated. Stop providing false information and do some research.

The "flappy thing" you are referring to is called Auto Sear

From a recently cracked WE trigger mech.
Hammer on the left, trigger springs on the right.

I wonder why you want a lighter trigger on a GBBR, the trigger on WE is way lighter than the real steel's, if you do want a light trigger pull just go back to AEG. If Chris Costa can pull his trigger that fast then so can you, just practice more.
