sniper comparison - need some feedback

Looking at a couple sniper platforms and was wondering about quality and available upgrades.

WELL VSR 10
TSD SD700
CA M24

Do these all take the standard VSR upgrades? If not, how hard are upgrades to find?
What is the quality of these compared to each other?

hands down.
solidly built, parts rather easy to find.

now you do realize you are comparing rifles with prices across the board?

Are there various versions of the CA M24?
The one I am looking at is a springer in the $250 range which is in the same range of the other two, no?

CA M24 comes in civilian and military versions, nothing changes other then the barrels
it usually retails for about 250$

the Well and TSD are about 100$ they are cheap clones. something you DO NOT want to have in a sniper rifle as upgrade manufacturers go by original designs and not the slop created by clone companies.

Ahhh... I was leaning more towards the CA.
It takes APS2 parts correct?

Doesn't hold together well; parts wear out very quickly internally. It's just a very cheap build overall. Not as accurate and consistent either.

#1 rule of airsoft; you normally get what you pay for. In most cases, you spend more, you get more, and normally have less to upgrade/modify later on, with a few exceptions of course.

$250 for a new CA M24?! Sheesh, for years they were $650!

But ya, APS2 internal parts (except cylinder, bolt handle and hop up unit), AEG inner barrel and AEG hop up rubbers.

So a better question... For the less handy of us are there any BA snipers that are accurate and reliable out of the box? Also where would the King Arms Blaster fit in? You gotta love that name!

Echo1 M24 - owned one loved it.
Socom Gear Cheytac M200 8mm- quite awesome, shells are annoying though.

Haven't heard anything regarding the Blaser, its interesting though

The Blaser might be VSR10 based but haven't heard much about it since it's new.

As for the OP, definitely the CA M24; the rest are crap clones. If it's not CA M24, TM VSR10/L96, or Maruzen APS-2 it's not worth it as a starting base platform. The only nod I'll give to clone companies is the JG BAR-10 which isn't that bad but between a BAR-10 and a VSR-10 as a base platform I'd take the VSR unless you're on an extreme budget (and in which case, how are you going to afford upgrade parts like a V Trigger/Zero Trigger which run $100 right then and there for that one part).

The Blaser seems to be a dismal failure. A proprietary trigger mechanism, and apparently the gun structure breaks easily. I've heard of this happening several times.

It's not a popular notion among fledgling snipers, especially ones new to airsoft; but most guns are not worth your time. If it's not a TM, Maruzen, or CA for springers; it's garbage. Other than that, you could invest lots of money and time into the exciting world of gas snipers. Either way, expect to heavily upgrade anything you buy, as most AEGs on the field will rape a stock sniper rifle.
