G36 problem of not firing bbs in semi

I have a fully upgraded G36K (no I did not do it myself).

Now as long as I have owned the gun there is a problem with it shooting in semi. It doesn't always do it so I don't know what to try and fix.

When I select semi-auto, and pull the trigger it does a firing sound and everything but no bbs shoot. Now I know its always loading because when I switch to full auto it will shoot a bunch of bbs out (depending on how many times i tried in semi first).

Now as I said the gun is fully upgraded.

Using Large 9.6v batteries
systema silent head kit
systema flat gear set I (standard)
systema poly carbonate piston
KM 6.04mm TN inner barrel (363mm)
Systema Tappet Plate
Systema Anti-Reversal Latch
Systema Hop Bucking
Systema N-B Cylinder Type-2
Metal Bushings
PDI 150% spring

now the reason I would like to know is I want to upgrade to a 170% PDI spring to get the gun to shoot closer to 400fps, right now around 350-360fps.

Thanks for any help available.

Selector wasn't set in semi when the trigger assembly was placed on the mechbox. Since the G36 won't allow the selector to be placed on safe when it is installed, good chance it was set in ful when it was installed. Easy fix if that's the case. I just finished a G36 on the weekend, made sure the selector was in semi when I put it together, all is good.

no it sometimes fires on semi too. Everything works for the selector.

Meaning when I have it on semi, it makes the sound and only shoots semi. But nothing comes out the barrel. Say I have it in semi shoot 5 shots. But no bbs come out. Then switch to full auto and pull the trigger once (meaning for a single shot) I will have 6 bbs come out at once.

Maybe get some silicon oil in there to lube things up a bit? I find after a while, my MP5 skips shots and mildly plugs up with BBs, but a drop of oil in the feed tube helps. From this point I can't exactly say. Sorry!

Perhaps you should go to the LZ this weekend and let someone take a look at it. Alot easier in person then over internet, sorry for posting without an answer but I think that might help.

ya I am going.

Problem is that it only happens for the first few rounds. After the gun is fired in Full Auto then no problems at all.

are you sure your gears were set properly when you re-installed everything...

If the gun sounds like its trying to fire when you pull the trigger, its not a silicone oil problem nor a fire select issue.

Sounds to me like the problem is internal. Id strip it again and verify your installation. I had a problem much like this where the piston was not pulling back completely. The tappet plate was being pulled back by a mis-aligned gear causing it to feed bb's. Full auto worked, much like yours does.

try to check out the loading block. It could simply be a misplacing wire that is slightly blocking the loading block.
Also please check your magazine. If you are using a high cap, make sure you have fully winded the magazine. If using a low cap, disassemble the mag and check, as well as add some silcone will help.
