Desert Locust

Does anyone own these?

Are they worth the $100?

And most important, they are supposed to be lined with special material that prevents fogging, any comments on that....

Thanks all

Are they worth the money? Yes. Most comfortable set of goggles I have ever worn. I bought the DLs with the built in fan, and I've never had them fog once. However, you would most likely remove the foam around the outside over the vent holes. Some people have complained about minimal fogging if the foam is left in.

You can get genuine Foliage colored kits for as little as $40.00 at places like Bradley's at Fort Drum (near the border.) They are cheaper in Foliage because there is a large surplus of them right now. The OD, Tan, and Black kits will be normal retail price.

I have a Foliage kit I got from Bradleys and I wanted to just get a black frame set for them since the lenses are removable. But I could not find just the frame for sale so I called Revision Eyewear. They said that I could not buy just the frame set and that I would have to deal with the fact that they were going to ship me a set for free. So I consider that great service.

They don't have it online. I guess you have to go there in person

Call them (it's in the US) and ask. They are pretty good to deal with.

THey're well worth it, best goggles I have used. Using their anti-fog wipes = ZERO fogging for me. If you're a sweaty guy, not much to do, but for the average joe they work great .

I've got the desert locust with fan. They look great and are very comfortable. Despite the fan, however, they will fog and sometimes it's some pretty bad fogging. It depends on how sweaty you are, humidity and wind. If you are in the woods, it will definitely fog.

I've recently been using the fogtech wipes on my goggles and it works wonders. Zero fogging in the worst conditions. Just something to keep in mind for these goggles.

In terms of potential fogging with these goggles, you think by replacing the stock lenses with the thermal ones will reduce or eliminate the fog issue?
Here is the link for the thermal revision desert locust thermal lenses.

Let me know if any of you have experience with the thermal lenses.
Thanks!

I would try them first. They differ person to person. I do not get fogging with the Desert Locust (I removed the foam) but one of the team mates that I run with had his fog so much that he eventually switched to an ESS turbofan.

They're worthless without the fan.

But then, I'll fog up plate glass windows at six feet on a winter day, so it might be just me.

Sweet! Where at? And I would grab a pair as well but I'm not sure if these would be comfortable to wear with my glasses on...

They wouldn't be comfortable at all, as these are a low profile goggle.

Revision does have the option of Rx inserts which is compatible with more than one model.
