Bushings are turning in the gearbox shell - ok?

I have a V3 gearbox and the bevel-gear bushings are turning in the gearbox-shell when shooting. Should I glue them in or is this ok?
The holes for the bushings/bearings are 6mm ones. System has 400 fps/M120 spring. ROF is ~17 RPS with 18:1 gears.
Would bearings be better (less noise, whatever)?

Unless there is excessive play in the bushing, you should be fine.

The stock nylon bushings are really loose in there anyways.

Last bushing set I installed was in a P90 and the cicular bushing where loose enough to fall off when the shell was on the side. I guess that they could/would spin in the shell sometimes.

In 6mm, you should stay with full bushings vs bearings.
The bearings (that is the name of the small spheres in the actual assembly) are too small in 6mm for the side strengh that is applied by the spring. If you really want to install some, leave the sector gear with bushings to compensate. The ARES/Star mechboxes are built that way.

In 7mm/8mm, it is ok to use bearings as the spheres are larger and can support more sideways force than the smallers ones.

Thank you! Learned new things.
Ok, so bearings only on bevel-gear and bushings on spur and sector-gear would be fine.
