CA Dust Cover

Hey guys, last night I fiddled with a CA armalite and was amazed by their magnetic dust cover.

My SR-16 has a hurricane metal body and I would be interested in replacing my dust cover with a CA one.

For those that don't know, the hurricane dust cover is annoying; it's always closed and won't stay opened.

So anyone know where I could find one of those CA dust cover or a dust cover that would do a similar job??

Thanks guys

I honestly have never seen any parts or accesories shops that sell just dust covers. But don't let it be beyond you to prove me wrong. :P

The CA dust cover is simple; two magnets glued on the dust cover. I'm thinking about gluing magnets to my dust cover.

Anyone know of a "magnet shop", if that even exists??

killed a chess piece with a magnet, turned out the magnet wasn't strong enough.

I'll see if I can find one and will keep you posted.

Those are the EXACT same size as mine. Just paint it black. (You will need 2, it come's with 10).

Edit: Scrap that they have a Pull Force of 6.03lb/2735g!

I think rare earth magnets might be too powerful... anyone can confirm?

On a side note; I love those little guns! I couldn't resist but to photoshop them into my custom guns :P

Just took a look at the website this morning

http://www.rare-earth-magnets.com/detail-ID-76.html

that one has a pull force of 2.4lbs and I think that would be enough to hold the dust cover without making it impossible to open, would it?
