(in WgcShop.com, they write: Muzzle Velocity: 280-300 FPS with 0.2g BBs)

what is the fps when i using 0.2 balls?
and out of the box, the FPS of the gun is 395?
or i need to change something?

and.. what do you think about this gun?
The Real Sword 56 and the 56-01, is Exactly the same thing? (Except the stock)

Using 0.2 G BB's both of my Real Swords shoot at 395 FPS on my chronograph.

This was out of the box.

Both are beautiful AEG's. They smell like guns. I appreciate the mix of wood and steel on the Real Swords. However, they are heavy; especially the Type 56.

The 56 and the 56-1 are slightly different. My 56 can use MAG AK waffle type mags without a hiccup. However, my 56-1 doesn't fire with them properly at all.

RS mid caps are expensive and hard to find in stock right now.

Doesn't really matter does it? I mean this guy has 2 of them and chronoed both himself and they both came up at 390+ FPS.

My guess is the first generation of them had a different spring in them. Retailers such as WGC and UNC probably just haven't updated the specs on the web yet.

Crunchmeister did a review on ASC here awhile back and his was in the 300 FPS range.

Here it is: https://secure.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=52250

I received my Real Swords in March and June of 2009. They must be later models with a stronger spring. Pretty sure the 56-1 was from WGC.

One this about the RS's is that the hop rubber must be very hard. I've adjusted it so the hop up works decent enough with Madbull .25's or .28's just fine. Mind you, my CYMA M1A1 outranges both of my RS's and all of my other AEG's. And that's just effing wierd eh.

I was planning on changing the hop up on both but I have been a chairsofter the last few months so that project is on hold indefinitely.

Hope this helps.

My guess is that they probably wanted to market the first version to Japan and because of the laws in Japan they require 280-290 FPS using .2 gram BB's (approx 1 Joule of muzzle velocity).

If what shiftsup says is true then it probably is just the difference between a spring and the different generations of the gun.

Real Sword makes their guns with a couple different FPS setting. You can find the numbers listed on their website.

If you don't know and there is no way to tell just from looking at the site, why would we know?

However, WGC and Redwolf do high volume sales, so it would be very safe to bet they have sold all of their original RS Type56s, and are onto newer ones now.

Where do you live? In canada? If so, don't order guns from WGC. They will just get seized at the border. You have to buy guns from in-country retailers.
