I'm a gamblin man, so much so I gambled several hundred dolars at the border with a dissassembled Star UMP body kit a couple years ago. O well, lessons learned. After numerous exchanges and fighting to get it back, I gave up and I had to forfeit the seized good to the crown for disposal.

I think it's a bad idea to encourage people on ASC to gamble on illegally importing airsoft guns. This place is the public face of Canadian airsoft, we really don't need the bad association with advising people on breaking laws that are actually in force.

If you want to gamble, fine. If you succeed, good for you. If you want to tell people your success, PM those that responded positively to you in this thread. But exercise some tact and consider how it reflects on airsoft's already shakey legitimacy in Canada before bragging about it publically on ASC.

ya I made it pretty clear I wasnt directly supporting him, I stated that this shouldnt be used to set a patern that everyone should try if he succeeds.

Im just curious to see if he does.. its his loss not mine.

Good luck Sarge. But I agree with the general consensus to call Red Wolf and cancel the order. I like to gamble as well - I don't think I would bet on you getting your SCAR.

To paraphrase shifty51: "Dear Customs, There's a big gun in this box. No peeking. Let this box past your border. Signed Sarge630's mommy."

I'm surprised Redwolf even shipped a gun to Canada. I usually deal with UNCompany and the last time I ordered some Non-Restricted stuff they even suggested I change my shipper because of a large string of seizures recently with the one I had picked. You'd figure they'd at least give a strong warning cause they know whats going to happen.

Well if you manage to get it in, buy a lottery number.

If not, you would of just proved as other so acclaimed idiots have (Bush, Chretien for example), Ignorance is blinding.

Hopefully, you win the Darwin award, but learn from this possible mistake.

Quote:
Is airsoft legal where I live?
Airsoft is legal in many countries, though their legality is still hotly disputed in others.

Legality of Airsoft and What Options Exist For Me?.

Is airsoft legal in Canada / Australia / New Zealand / Germany / Singapore / Malaysia / Indonesia?
For Canada, this continues to be a hotly debated issue but the short answer is pretty much "no". A lot of customers ask about trying to ship guns into Canada in pieces and what the chances of success are. Read our explanation. In short, importing airsoft guns into Canada requires either a firearms license or a movie prop license. If you have neither of these, then you can only order accessories from our site. If you wish to contact an airsoft gun retailer in Canada, we can recommend one - simply drop us an email and ask.

For Australia, you cannot import airsoft unless you hold a firearms license. If you do hold such a license, check with your local customs office on the documents you need to present when importing airsoft.

For New Zealand and Germany, you may only import SEMI-AUTO guns. Even if a full-auto gun is modified into a semi-auto shooting gun, New Zealand and German customs will still confiscate it unless you have a firearms import license.

For Singapore / Malaysia / Thailand / Indonesia, airsoft is very much out of the question and are completely banned, unless you have special government approval or authorization to import

I wish it was that easy.
