I EDC the Nitecore Defender Infinity (3rd from the left) which is about 145 lumens but realistically 130 with a kydex holster.

135 lumens light from my Surefire M3 is sufficient for everyday application.

My pocket light is a Surefire 6PL Defender. Great little light.

I picked up a Coast V2 6 LED tac light, but mine is silver. An awesome dual colour light, I got it on sale at home depot for $35.

Surefire 6P is nice
+ handy, rugged, bright
- CR123 batts (although used as an occasional carry/pocket light the batts last a long, long time)

O-light
+ LED
+ multiple settings (of which only low power and high power are really usefull...strobe is very annoying )
- should have gotten the size that fits different colour lense covers
- a little bit slim...slips through a couple of the flashlight belt holders I have

??? Scorpion
+ bright, rubber coated
- moisture leaked into mine leaked and the bulb cooked
- CR123 batts

* gen notes
- LEDs with AA batts last forever and no issues with getting batts from anywhere
- LEDs with CR123 are WAY brighter than with just AA's
- perhaps it's just the o-light that I have...but the beam is very focused, good and bad I guess...i.e. very bright center (almost a wash out) and not much ambient illumination
- 50-80 lumens is bright enough for CQB, camping, around the house, etc...once you're over that you're into more expensive bulbs/batts.

My brain hurts just thinking about getting hit by that

It's also worth your while to research rechargeable options, after a bit of research on candlepowerforums.com I ended up with the following configuration:

SF M3
SF XM07 cap (I leave the tape switch at home if it's not weapon mounted)
LF EO-M3 bulb
As many 17500 cells as I can carry (usually about 12 in my bag)

With a bit of thrifty shopping this didn't cost too much up front, and the upgrades aren't required, but with the rechargeable batteries operating costs go way, way down.

I usually use this light every other day, so for mw it's worth it. I'm also looking into doing something with a G2 I have lying around.
