So the brand/config that seems to be better is WE's open bolt system. It went through a real life exercise earlier as reported by Brian.
open bolt = cool
closed bolt = reliability

and at 1300$ I'll wait for a RS gbbr
or a reliable full size AK

Open bolt = cool... for the first 10 minutes.. then you realize that all it means is reduced reliability and service life.

of course it depends on why you buy the guns. For me it's about performance and effective simulation of the real firearm for training purposes.

For others its about sitting in their basement in their underwear racking the bolt while a little bit of spittle leaks out of the corner of their mouths.

Although it looks pretty.. The only one I am interested in checking out/owning besides the WETTI would be the real sword m4 GBBR (As previously stated in this thread)... whenever they release that is! This is mainly due to the quality of the upper/lower I've been hearing so much about.

As it stands, WETTI's seem to be quite the work horse, and that's really what draws me towards the platform.

F*ck it, maybe I'll just try and get both.

Im not convinced the open bolt system means 'reduced reliability'.....

What brings you to this conclusion?

More parts = more parts to break
More moving parts = more parts to break

Still won't bite the closed nozzle system. It's not my taste, I like crisp cycling (WE closed chamber seem to be like sluggish)

Closed also requirs allot of lubrication, I've killed an o-ring in mine by forgetting to add silly oil to the propane. But if, like myself you don't mind lower ROF on a gbbr and you keep it lubbed your golden with closed.

Back on topic though: Inu's are not worth the money when the much more reliable WEs are so much cheaper.

The manufacturer says it is so., this is why open bolt will be sold to airsofters and the AWSS ( brass tube ) system will be marketed to LE/MIL

airsofters complain about reliability.. but still want "cool" ,LE\MIL want robust reliable training tools

I agree with the comments on the WETTI closed bolt system. The only two problems I have had, is I did not add enough oil to the propane to keep the bolt functioning smoothly, obvious user fault, and the pin holding the roller on the hammer came loose, user fault as I did not catch it by closely inspecting each part. Even with those two malfunctions, the weapon was still functioning, not as smoothly, but still functioning.

From what I have read about the WA based systems, parts wearing out quickly for one example, as well as constant attention to the weapon to keep it runing some of the time? I don't think I would bother with that. I want a reliable system that will keep working regardless of exposure to the elements, and physical abuse, this goes the same with the magazines as well. So far my WE has not let me down due to design, but due to operator error, that was later rectified and learned from.

Only time I EVER had an issue was when I ran shit BB's I had to borrow from someone, NEVER running any but Bastards again. I've seen a number of WA and KJW's go down, that shit is UNACCEPTABLE in anything I'll run.

Bastards + basic maintenance + WE (rifle) = fucking Jesus gun

Also, I like my closed bolt, sometimes you get a flash of the brass colour, kinda like a shell ejecting :P

Hehe yea the brass tube can be neat to see some times when the weapon is cycling lol, but you are right as long as basic maintenance is applied and te gun is cleaned after every game (as with all weapons, though the WE's will still work lol) it will serve you well (unless it was made on a monday or a friday lol )
