It is a small part you can adjust on the gun. Search around the forums and it shouldn't be too hard to learn where to find it and how to adjust it.

turn left is less hop, right is more hop. turn all the way left is hop off.

On what airsoft gun are you referring?

On an M4 its a little spinny wheel behind the fake bolt.
On an MP5 its a little slidey dealy on the side of the gun.
On an AK its a slider on the inside of the guns ejection port.
On an M14 its a little dial that you turn inside the mag well.

Hop up essentially adds back spin to your BB allowing to to travel further.

On an M4, if you lay the AEG down with the dust cover facing up.

Turn the dial to clock wise to increase hopup and counter clock wise to decrease.

If you are shouldering the AEG dial the wheel away from you to increase hop up and dial it towards your body to decrease it.
