So question for you guys then, would it be possible to move these internals into a standard TM 5.1? from what I can see between the two 4.3's, the frames are pretty much identical.

I inspected an Xtreme as well and the only real mechanical difference I saw was the modified blowback unit.

In fact, Daiviet had already modified a blowback unit to do the exact same thing as the Xtreme when it was first announced.

yea, instructions for mod is here http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...t=72089&page=3

However, I'd only recommend this only if you have a spare blowback chamber, just in case you want to go back to semi auto. In addition, the spring buffer is required in order to make it work, or else the hammer will get caught under the blowback chamber when the slide is all the way back. Looking at the new blowback chamber though, looks like one side doesnt need to be filled in all the way...

So did you work out all the issues with yours Daviet? Some finished photos would be awesome if you could manage.

just wanna share my Xtreme Hi capa, outfitted with a PGC slide, Tanio koba one touch joint, multi hole compensator, and hop twist inner barrel

BTW, the hop up chamber+inner barrel has a small plastic spacer in front

compared to stock 5.1

anyone here know what it is for?

Are you also using the TK outer barrel to attach the TK One Touch Joint?

I'd imagine that spacer is there to prevent the outer barrel from pulling all the way back.

I removed the short stroke system (extra spring in recoil rod and the screw in slide stop) in my unit. Still using stock outer barrel. Spacer came with stock unit. Will this spacer system prevent damage to the lugs of my slide when using a steel outer barrel? I've read that i can destroy my slide with the wrong combination of outer barrel+slide

The PGC slide should be able to handle a metal barrel fine

just experimented with the spacer and placed it in my 5.1. it actually prevents inner barrel sliding and prevents the "tilt" action of the outer barrel during recoil, maybe similar to thishttp://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=26901

hicapa with spacer in inner barrel

stock hicapa

of course without the tilting action, i noticed there are more scratches on my chamber

You can not use the spacer with an outer barrel that is not designed to not tilt.

Barrels designed for this have a lowered chamber to prevent contact with the slide. Otherwise, you can damage the slide and/or the chamber.
