Broken pistol driving me mad.

It's been two months since I broke my pistol, and I can't help but think about it practically every day. I mean, I don't know what I should do about it anymore.

Should I keep it and hope that a spare frame or parts pistol comes up? Should I attempt to import the exorbitantly expensive metal frame set? Or should I sell off what remains? Any one of those options will make me feel a lot better, since it's either restored to working condition or I can start over from scratch, but spending something like $400-500 to import a metal frame set also makes me feel uncomfortable.

You really should be more specific about what type of pistol you own and what's broken about it if you want GOOD advice. If it's just a slide that's broken, keep in mind that you can import it yourself for relatively cheap. I personally think that you should throw it against a wall, that always makes me feel better.

It's a KSC M945 Compact, and the part that broke, owing to gross mishandling on my part, was the frame.

Better off selling it to someone who has the gun already and needs parts.
Or, but another KSC M945 and have your spare parts.

If you're spending "$400-$500" just for a frame, ask yourself is it really worth the money for that gun?

Can't you simply glue it? Sometimes it can do miracles...

The ksc m945 is outdated and worth nothing. Trash it,

There's a point where it's better to just throw it in the trash and save your money (or buy a new different pistol). You have to decide if that's the right decision.

So... I should just move on then.

Not likely to have any takers for parts?

This isn't the right section for that. Put it up in the classifieds.

Well I'm just wondering if it's worth attempting to sell, considering that general consensus seems to indicate that chucking it in the bin is a reasonable option.

Just to give you an example to compare with:

Last year I purchased a TM Desert Warrior from Illusion $320
I also put it about $350 in parts bringing it to about $700 for pretty much the best performing pistol I have ever seen.

$500 for a frame is 70% of what I paid. Unless this pistol has sentimental value to you is it really worth spendng $500 to get a used pistol back up? I'd say no.

Perhaps it would be a better investment to sell the pistol as a parts gun and use that money to offset the price of a new pistol.

Well, it's my first gun, and it's got a nice finish and heft to it.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm starting to think that I should just move on to another gun and leave the parts in the drawer. If I can somehow obtain a frame without breaking the bank, I'll probably go for it.

On the other hand, if there's any reasonable possibility of selling the parts, I'll go for that instead.
