What are the FPS rules across Canada?
Hey there, the association I'm apart of is looking to update its rules to be closer to that of the rest of Canada (Partially so that when out of town players come they don't have to savagely downgrade their guns)
If you could, please fill out the following form and re-post it in this thread. Province: "Club" or "Group" you play with: Are there other clubs in your area with different rules: Outdoors -- FPS Limit on Pistols: FPS Limit on auto-capable AEG's: FPS Limit on Semi-auto only AEG's: FPS Limit on Bolt action snipers: Can some one get "Certified" and be granted the ability to use a higher FPS gun: If so, what's the highest "Certified" FPS you'll allow: Indoors -- Do you play with auto or semi only: What is your FPS Limit: Is your FPS Limit different depending on the gun: What facial protection is REQUIRED: Do you allow pyro grenades (If yes, please elaborate how you test them): If so, FPS Limits on Pistols: FPS Limit on auto-capable (If your club uses this): FPS Limit on Semi-auto only AEG's: FPS Limit on (lol) Bolt Action Snipers (If this doesn't apply, just put "N/A"): |

at my field (Wasaga Beach), the max are:
pistols: no limit (since they are generally considered to be around 350-380) AEGs: 410 fps BA: 450 fps Indoor, generally i hear 350fps Now that being said, if you talk to the game host, you could get permission to use higher FPS guns. Last edited by Donster; October 27th, 2008 at 13:39.. |

Holy shit, that's 487 FPS on .20's. Are you serious?
Also, this seems a bit weak. 313 FPS with .20's max for outdoor? |

The fps cap posted by arman likely has more to do with paintballwilderness (where they play) rather than to do with his club.

In Québec
Outdoor Auto AEG: 400fps Semi auto AEG: (locked on semi) 450fps Snipers: 450fps Certified operator limit: unlimited (field and organised dependant) 550fps in not uncommon. Limitations should fall under the guidelines of the sniper clinic if we want to structure things up a bit. Note: Certification process as begun with the sniper clinics I'm running. Indoor AEG, full auto 350fps Snipers: N/A since our indoor field kinda defeat snipers purposes. It's not paintball fields. No limits on pistols. All fps stated are chroned with .20g as usual.

Why would there be a different FPS rules instituted for Pistols??? it's not like a pistol is packing more energy then an aeg with the same bb @ the same FPS

They hold the airsofters to the same chrony rules as the paintballers. No amount of talking has been able to change that. Shitty, but it is a decent field.
