Puxing radio distane?

Just as the title says, Im trying to find out what the average distance this radio can transmit from one radio to the other on the narrow band setting? Currently I cannot even communicate from one radio to the other at a distance under 2km and I am elevated and the other user is standing outside.

Trees, heavy foliage buildings and different elevations can affect signals
Estimated radio ranges are hypothetical best case scenarios
Aprox. same elevation with "clear line of sight" ie no buildings, hills, mountains forests etc in the way

What Puxing radio? Also do you have it on low power or high power?

With my Puxing PX777 on high power, IN THE CITY (with all the interference etc) I transmitted 5.5 miles (9km) clearly with another radio of the same type that my buddy was using.

I'm using a Puxing 888k, on high power with narrow band on channel 14 (467.712) and transmitting to another user who is only 1.8km away in a rural setting. I am in an apartment building and there is only this building a small townhouse area and her own building in the way. She is on lower ground then I am. Cant get a signal from her.

"Building in the way" will do it. Radio waves like UHF bounce on (or inside) stuff like buildings. You need more LoS.

Just the regular stock antenna on both.
