TM AK-47: Gettin that grip off

I'll keep it short and sweet with a basic pic of what I'm trying to do.

Click me!

I'm trading stocks, and I've managed the pistol grip and the rear stock quite easily. The front foregrips are my real problem.

Now, I can get the top part off pretty easily, but I haven't the slightest clue as to how to get the bottom part of the grip off. I can take a wild guess and say it requires more than just removing a lever though, which I hope isn't the case. How the devil do you get that bottom grip off?

Please and thank you!

I'm not telling you.

... I'll tell you how to take the wood off... to install... even better wood...

You gotta pull out the faux cleaning rod, and unscrew the front signs and gas block, everything should just slide out then.

Oh trust me. She'll see real wood when I can afford it.

The only thing I'm having trouble with now is that dummy rod. Is there a knack to getting it out? It seems stuck in there like it's stiff as a brick.

Pliers, bend it down and yank it out.
