My TM G36K RAS

I just bought the Classic Army set for my TM G36K project and I'm very impressed of the quality on how it was made. The best barrel set I've seen and even the RAS Handguard looks like the real Knight's Armament RAS. I think it looks even better then the Army Codes $195 G36K barrel set and the CA G36K RAS with barrel set cost only $124.

Classic Army G36K RAS set.

The Nitro.Vo RAS handguard don't even comes close to the CA RAS.

The one on the right is the CA RAS.

The barrel set fits nice in the TM body. One thing you can't use is the 247mm internal barrel so I bought the M4A1 363mm barrel and now it fits great to the flash hider.

I'm using the stock wiring with the fuse and I didn't want the RAS to cut the wires so I had to fit all the wires in the body.

The battery fits good with the RAS.

I also added the G&P rail and G&P G36K stock. just finished my G36K project.

Quick question while on the subject of the H&K G36... any opinions on the TM vs. CA battle? I heard that the internals on the CA are much better... but I have always been a fan of TM.

Any inputs?

Btw, Amazing KG3 - I too am a huge H&K fan brother! =)

Cheers,
KaOz.

The CA one is far superior with 7mm busings and 330 FPS, as well as a resin body while the TM one is only ABS. However the TM one has trademarks. Also the TM ones only come in the C model, while CA supplies C, K and E.

Hmmm... I noticed there is about $100 difference between the CA and the TM model.

So in other words, the CA comes already modified and shooting roughly 50+fps, correct?

See, I like the C for CQB situations... and well, being a purist and all, I like that it comes with trademarks. I might fork over another $300-400 to upgrade the internals so it shoots 350fps and be happy with it. In the end, isn't part of the fun modifying things?

Thanks for your input!

Cheers,
KaOz.

this is a good point, except if your a purist, i think your gonna want to get the poly-resin body on the CA. Its really a choice you cant make until youve seen both. I went with the TM first because i trust their build and reliability, and i have heard bad things about CA, however i really wanted a K where all the blacks were the same color so i bought a CA36K after. I will always have a CA36 in my armory now.

On a side note, TM g36 locaps are the best, CA ones suck. KA are the cheapest.

I've got the PDC RAS Conversion Kit for about a year and I must say that it's awesome. Here's a picture I just took with Amazing KG3's G36E barrel I bought from him a while ago.

It holds alright, I'm pretty sure spray paint would make a better job though. By the way, it was Batman's gun so all the credits goes to him. I just paid big money and put a barrel on it.

I think I'm going to paint it back, maybe black or something.

Nice stuff Firestorm. Its hard to tell in the pictures but what colour is the paint. Is it more OD or Tan? If you get a chance you should take some pictures outdoors. I dont know for some reason I like it with the shorter barrel over a long barrel. Would look really KSK with a short barrel and a M4 flashhidder on it too.
