Snake skin M4

Here's a pic of my recently re-painted M4. I sprayed broad stipes of tan over the original pattern through a plastic mesh. I then sprayed some narrower and more selective stripes of brown over the newly painted tan.

Thanks Guys.. Primus turned me onto the technique. Ya that pic was taken this afternoon at the LZ. It was sunny and warm and the field was not too wet either.

Looks like what I partially did to my MP5 a year ago (after you gave it the initial spray job) using mesh to add some texture. Pretty cool still, always good to see a bit more break up detail than just splotches.

Just finished painted 2 helmets in that pattern and doing 2 SPRs in the next few weeks.

Got to admit, nice work.

Great paint job! Looks awesome! Never would have thought to use plastic mesh to get that type of look. Love the texture, makes it more concealable amongst the foilage.

I love seeing people coming out with new and unique paint jobs.
This one just does such a great effect at breaking up the features of the gun..kudos!

I gave the front end of my MP5 a quick overspray last year just after it was painted, I slid one of those green mesh bottle protectors the liquor store hands out over the supressor/front grip. Worked ok, but found the mesh was a little big.

Painted a guitar like that a few years back. Never thought of doing a gun... great work! Figures Primus had something to do with it

You can use fishnet stockings as well.
