MGS2 SEAL Gear

Reposted from another, dead thread, because apparently the mods didn't see my request for moving to a different section:

Update: Sent money to a buddy with an m1911. On it's way. Can a mod please move this to the video game themed airsoft section? Going to discuss other gear other then slides in a minute here.

Took pics of MGS2, and was wondering if anyone could indentify any of this stuff. I know there's a drop pouch on the left side of the belt, and a drop leg on the right side. Trying specifcally to find out what the vest set up and radio rig is.

Yeah, they do. Ok, let's start with the vest thing. Anyone know what it is?

It looks like.. a clash between a cross-draw vest and ALICE gear to me....

So after more digging, I've come to the conclusion that's it's some sort of custom. Probably have to build up from this:

The MGS3 rig seemed ridiciolus to me, all them straps, especially around the crotch area, seemed mad uncomfortable. Dunno where you'd get something like that anyway.

If I can remember theres a feature in the special features of "Substance" in the XBOX version if your using, I've got a copy, that allows you to look at the model of the character and your looking at Navy Seal SNAKE or Plisken. But over all the kit is a Navy Seal kit since he said he was part of the SEAL team that went in to get the President.

MGS3 gear is all real 'Nam kit, as far as I know. As for MGS2 Snake, I spent a looong time trying to find the same thing for a cosplay mainly, but also something fieldable before cheap CADPAT came out. I came to similar conclusions as well (especially the B.Hawk vest lol) but in the end I figured the best way to go about this was with a MOLLE kit. There's no real vest like that, especially with the shell holders. I looked up everything he had and I had a pretty good list, I'll see if I can dig it up from the bowels of my old PC.
