No they are not wearing sneakers, they are wearing boots. C3sk, what makes you assume they are 5.11 boots? Lots of other boots on the market.

They could be other, just my guess based on the middle operator in the fast rope descent.. And from my knowledge of what has been made available to individuals in the past.

Looks like the 5.11 to me, but could very well be oakley's <shrug>

Gonna say the boots are probably Oakley, considering that is what they are issued in CSOR.

Hum... Spectre sights and AN/PEQ 15's. Looks like CSOR did not have their budget reduced this fiscal year like almost everybody else in the CF.

At RMC...

OCdts and NCdts, go to the SOF symposium at Currie if you can on Tues-Wed.
I'll be there with along with some other cool folk, and lots of tan berets.

CANSOFCOM is more leniant because of what they do, and they are more concerned with the mission, not about looking identical on parade, etc.

Could be lots of things.. theres more then 5.11 and Oakley out there.. He has his pants unbloused.. doesn't mean that he's wearing shoes.. just a personal preference...

Who told you this?

Yes, they do not get the run of the mill plain jane C8s like the rest of the CF gets. There C8s come with RAS, some have Vltor stocks, the rest have the standard one, EoTech 553, Elcan Spectre DR, Peq15s, etc

I always wondered what the view would look like from the top of that tower.
Seen them fast rope a few times while I was in the training area. It lookslike fun

For the record they're using Vltor Modstocks, not crane stocks. Don't think I've seen crane stocks on CF weapons, but there are probably a few. For some reason there's a fascination with those stocks among our SF, from the photos I've seen.

Members of 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the Canadian Special Operations Regiment conducted a combined airborne operation and wing-exchange ceremony at Roger’s drop zone on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Dec. 2. Both events were part of the 26th annual Menton week, an event which commemorates the inactivation of the combined U.S. and Canadian First Special Service Force on Dec 5, 1944. (Photos by Sgt.
