I have the same camera. I use a 32 gb sd card. I filmed for 5-6 hours pretty much continuous and only used 12gb's on 1080. used 1.5 batteries as well. Check on ebay for spare batteries. there was a place i got 4 extra ones from for 7$ a piece or something. beats paying 20$+ for others that say contour on them.

Your camera will beep a couple times and shut off. It's in the manual.

Heres another money saver,
I picked up the Contour HD but wasn't happy with the 2GB card it comes with.
Went shopping and found this 32GB Class 10 card for $59

FYI the HD version says it caps ar 16GB but it can record onto 32GB, the memory light will come on when you reach 16GB. But if you go with 5 mins per GB on the highest setting of picture takin your good for 2.5ish hours

I really would like to get a Contour GPS or better, for the streaming option, use it as a cheap CornerShot with a used iPod Touch.

I actually worked at Future Shop for a while and picked up a GPS specifically for that purpose. The thing is, it doesn't work for streaming. All the app/bluetooth card let you do is change the settings without a computer and "preview a shot".

In essence, you can take a picture with it and make sure your camera is lined up, but it's not live streaming video. I returned it and bought the Roam. Very happy with my choice.

I've watched YouTube videos on it's streaming, and yes, 5-10fps, but still good enough to see if the path is clear and/or try to engage a target while exposing yourself as little as possible.

Yes, but note that you can't record while streaming
The pro allows for live streaming and recording through hdmi output though

Also, for the blutooth conexion to work with iOS you need to buy that little ConnectView (name?) card which is an added 30$ (no need for Android, thank Apple's proprietary thingamabob)
