Possibly that it would be nice to have options for AKs that aren't eastern bloc. There's plenty of folding stock 104s out there. The flash hider is way uglier in my opinion.

Agreed, flash hider isn't very appealing and the stock doesn't fit the gun

I'd guess that somewhere in the USA some famous tacti-cool video has a rifle like that in it.

That Magpul guy runs an AK plastered in MOE parts and duracoated Flat Dark Earth. Well, if you want to get technical it's a chopped Saiga. He's got a weird railed forend that squares off on top (instead of curving over the gas tube), and goes all the way back to the front sight. Surefire on one side, suppressor, Aimpoint Micro T-1 on the forend, some kind of Crane stock, SAW grip, and fucking Ranger plates on the mag.

That just made AK's pretty sweet in my eyes.. Though im a tacticool whore, so that's probably why.. But that stock, i agree.. a wire frame stock would look better IMO.

Travis Haley's Ak set up.

FYI; its not crane stock its CTR and also there is the left side charging handle for right handers.

I like my AKs plain - old school with wood and iron sights. I sort of learned to at least accept the more modern ones with the plastic furniture. But other than that, anything else just isn't as "AK".

This, however, I have very mixed feelings about. I normally don't even like painted guns, but this setup is kind of growing on me. Still not too thrilled about an AR-style stock on an AK, but as I said, this setup is growing on me.

I find this thing pretty nice myself, lots of standard AKs, it's nice to see some change plus I'm a fan of Haley's AK
