Thanks, wasn't sure if there were really used by the Marine Corps, none of the pics I could find showed any CIRAS.

More kit questions: do the Marines use coyote brown or khaki for tactical equipment (vests, pouches, bags)?

Usually Coyote Brown, but sometimes you will see MARSOC/FR operators with a khaki plate carrier instead of CB.

Only MARSOC uses khaki. Everyone else uses CB (unless they run some privately purchased pouches, but yeah... CB.

Recon BN kitlist
Hey guys, I'm planning on making a 2010-2011 Recon Battalion kit but I needed someone to verify the accuracy of it. I'm not including the pouches as of yet, I'm mainly concentrating on the base gear.
*= Already have *MICH 2000 (not exactly accurate, but I got the idea from this guy: MICH/ACH helmet vs LWH (Lightweight Helmet) - YouTube) *Desert MARPAT cover MICH NVG mounting plate with retention strap *Cat-eyes band Goggle Retention Straps ESS Tactical XT (I wear bulky glasses) USMC FROG MARPAT Blouse FROG MARPAT Trousers Shark Gear SPC Bates boots (not sure which type yet) This kitlist isn't complete, if you have anything to add, please do. |

Hey would that be accurate as replica for USMC helmet:

No it won't. This is some kind of weird MICH 2001. You need an LWH, but for that purpose, a PASGT with the proper cover will do it (the LWH being a lighterweight PASGT with different pads).
