As long as you are going to take regular breaks, you can just fill up or (if you are lazy) buy a bottle of water/gatorade and leave it with your gear in the safe zone.

The cammelbak/hydration systems are really only worth it if you are going to spend hours out in the field (ie. Milsim) with out time to go back to the safe zone to rebomb and rehydrate. OR You are those types that sweat like a proverbial pig and really need the hydration at all times (since you lose a lot of fluid fast).

Then again, just my .02$
Organizer said to have a hydration system since we are going to move a lot and carry all our stuff with us. I'v never been the 'thirst' kind but when your thirst its really nice to have fresh water at your disposal. Something i learn from running track and CC at school.

You should have tried LaCordée (there`s one on St.Cath near Papineau, almost right under the J-Cartier bridge), they have various hydration systems there (where I got my Platy) and I've seen camo (WL) camelbaks there.

Never heard of it. They seem close to me.

buy a plastic water bottle, wrap it in a scrap of green cloth.

Everything I have is crude, but effective.

I just cut and paste this from Army.ca since I'm to lazy to type it all out again;

Dealers of Camelbak are getting fewer as Camelbak is cracking down on US distributors selling to Canadian dealers.

R Nicholls technically has the Canadian exclusive, and Camelbak wants to protect and support them, but many of us dealers refuse to deal with Nicholls and found other sources.

We are in talks with Camelbak right now to see what we can come up with to continue to supply the Canadian market as Eagle was supplying us, but will no longer do so.

If you have a problem getting one I highly recommend sending an email to Camelbak and let them know about the supply issues.

Buy a cheap bladder and put it in a back pack? If you're in a hurry to get something together to carry your water, you shouldn't be too picky...

I used to run around with 2 water bottles in M16 mag pouches.. beats getting dehydrated.
