Cmon Bruce, there's no need for a tripod this gun is not that heavy you old man..... oh no wait you meant for the camera.

This gun is a work of art, I've seen it and touched it a little. I didn't want to touch it for too long because I didn't want to have to get for my M14. Another nice gun to add to your collection and I'm glad you're fielding this puppy.

The above isn't an EBR though. It's a Troy Sopmod which Star made for airsoft in limited supply. Here is a real EBR chopmod with CQB m4 collapsible stock:

Vltor has a pretty sweet m14 with collapsible stock too. The Vltor Modstock:

Though it's not 100% accurate, TGS is releasing an EBR CQB stock:

So, if we strictly talk about its practical side, I know the EBR has rails but, that or a normal M14?

Also related to the balancing of the weight, the SAGE Mk.14 EBR also has this issue with all the weight being in front.

I'm kind of curious if it's any better than a standard M14 because in the end it only add a few more rails and a pistol grip...

I found the balance much better on the standard M14 than with the TGS EBR kit due to the placement of the battery (rear for the standard M14 and front for the EBR). I didn't think the EBR kit was much heavier than the standard stock though. Of course, all those rails mean you have to fill it up with dead weight.

Are you talking about real steel comparision between the EBR and a M-14? If not, being practical in airsoft is only a part of our reasons why we choose one gun over another. Otherwise, we should all be playing with version 3 mechbox equiped AEGs.

If you're asking about the airsoft versions, in addition to the 2 things you've mention, you have overlooked the issue of an adjustable stock and cheek rest on the EBR. The EBR also have it's stock in full metal and the bottom rail is a full length rail. All this gives each individual owner a chance to custom fit the EBR to his physical size and preference. When you can do this to a gun, you will get a very comfortable and reliable platform to carry out your missions.

Yes, the weight distribution is bad on the EBR but that can be overcome by using it more to get used to the weight. I use to think the same thing with my SPR and M4 but by playing with heavier guns, those guns are now a breeze to carry.

My main reason in deciding to purchase what gun or accessories is mainly base on my opinion that I think it looks great. Something may be practical but looks shit will not interest me to buy one. I agree it's a bad habit. I have a basement full of great looking stuff but works shit to prove this.
