WE M4 AEG - RIS (Help)

I have been very impressed with this AEG, for it's price it even knocks out some higher end M4 models. From what I read it's 100% upgradable, and fits a lot of external parts such as Daniel Defense. Now that I have upgraded several internal parts, I would like to add a RIS rail. The only thing is I'm unsure which to get. I have been looking at the Madbull Daniel Defense 7"

http://madbull.com/catalog/index.php...roducts_id=271

but will I need an Omega version due to having a delta ring?

http://madbull.com/catalog/index.php...roducts_id=226

And is 7" even the right length for an M4, because if I measure from delta ring to the end cap, I get less than 7".

7" is correct for an m4 length handguard. And you can always remove the delta ring, it's not difficult. The DD rail that clamps to your receiver is super sturdy, I'd recommend it over one that uses the existing delta ring.

Hell, you could also do a 9" or a 12" rail if you take your triangle sight off.

1. Its a GBBR not an AEG
2. You can use any length all the way up to your flashhider, as long as you have something in place for the gas block to hold things straight.

Delta ring on the WE AEG is REALLY easy to take off.

Hmmm, I'm trying to figure that one out... The gas tube (for looks) is preventing me from removing the delta ring. Correct me if i'm wrong but I will need to remove the triangle sight to slid the delta ring out, and to remove the "gas tube"???

I rear wired my gearbox last night, funny WE made it so it could be done but when it came to sitting the wire so it could run out of the lower receiver I had to sand a grove... If not the gearbox just wouldn't sit...

Yes hammer out the triangle sight pins and slide it all out the front. Then you can take the delta ring off.

There are newer versions of the 2 rails you linked in the first post. (They are not actually being made anymore)
These are the newer releases:

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2454
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2142
Either will fit onto a WE, both come with a DD nut so you won't need your original delta ring anymore.

Also note you won't be able to use your gas tube with these rails. To prevent people from running these rails on real steel they have a solid block of material obstructing the rail's gas tube channel . You could drill the material out enough to pass the gas tube through , many have done it.

Yeah I might have picked the wrong one from the madbull site, I got the rails from torontoairsoft, which are the same model as you posted. Now I will be adding back the triangle sight back, will it conflict with the rail?
