VFC SCAR Hex key size

To FN SCAR owners, what's the hex key size for the gearbox selector mechanism? I think it was a 0.7mm but I'm not sure, and no tool boxes in my house has it. I had to use my friend's metric set in the past.

Do you know where I can find one of those in Canada? The smallest I've been able to find is 0.05", which isn't even metric because all the stores seem to only go down to 1.5mm.

I have a small precision driver set from canadian tire that has one in it. The set was like $30 about 2 years ago. It is a great little set but you could always buy it and then return it once you are done.

Princess auto sells a precision driver set red and black case, TO Airsoft I think sells a similar one.

I'll call up TA tomorrow and ask if their box has the right size.

Thanks for checking by the way, I know how much of a pain in the ass it is to take apart the SCAR selector

I love it, they been replaced with a lower quality one that seems to break easier but it still comes with lifetime warranty.

0.05" is 1.3mm.

eBay is your friend on this one. DX might be good too.

Well it seems Canadian Tire will have it so I'll just walk there tomorrow. I went to Home Hardware yesterday, their stuff only went down to 1.5 metric and 0.05 imperial, and online searches all directed me to the US, UK or HK.

Thanks guys

(For future tool shopping) If Canadian tire doesn't have it, usually Snap-on will have it. Or anywhere you can find a machine shop tools supplier. If that's impossible, I recommend and electronics tool supplier as well. Between the all of these you can usually find what your looking for.. like torxs drives >.<
