That's a very nice pistol, but is the frame supposed to be a different color than the slide? Or is that just the lighting?

Are you going to replace the slide with one matching to the frame? IMO, it'd look nicer than it does now, although it looks amazing as is too.

I think he'd rather swap out the frame to match the slide

How much is a frame like that? Is it actually that much?

A compatible frame is $700+ according to the builder, illusion (who is your god and you should bow down to him)

probably. But having full metal feels soo much better. Not only do you want a lower metal frame to match your upper metal slide, but you want it to be compatible as well. The frame itself needs to be machined very well, or you're gonna have issues with fitment and having it work in general. Even the high end frames have issues sometimes with other parts.

Plus the lower frame of a 1911 is a prohibited device, so you can't even import it yourself.

GBB's are nice. Full Metal GBB's are even nicer. Sometimes they're a headache to work on to get it firing properly, and if you ever tally the costs to bringing it full metal, you will probably cry. I know I have, and I think Sam was on the verge a few times.

So for the total cost of some full metal GBBs (specifically the 1911 and 2011 styles) you could easily buy 2-3 AEG's.

Insanity was close behind.
