Paratrooper Bag

Does anyone have any experience with these things? They're kinda like duffel bags, but they roll up. You can find some images on Google, but they're mixed up with a whole bunch of other, similar stuff. What I want to know is, do these things have straps inside? 'Cause I can imagine these things being useful for holding AEGs and such.

nope they dont, they are called flyers kit bags. they tie inside out on the bottom of your parachute. upon hittin the dz you just unroll the bag and stuff the parachute and harness inside them and clip your reserve chute on the outside handle, throw it over your shoulder and walk to the rv point. they are good for laundry thats what i use mine for.

So they aren't good for storing stuff at all?

EDIT: These are the same as those "GI Style" bags, right?

you have a duffle bag. those ones are alright. I'd rather have a gun case to carry my aeg in though.

I'm not sure if that's the exact one. The pic one doesn't look like it rolls up.

Only popular with those that jump from perfectly good airplanes

Otherwise, get a duffle for gear and a proper case for you AEG...

My other question was: are these the same as the GI bags?

I remember seeing this thing in a movie somewhere, where it had straps on the inside for a shotgun and some shells. I dunno if the one I saw at my local army surplus is like that. If it is, sweet deal. I can't remember what movie it was, though. I'll post again if I can remember.

again, my statement still stands. remember I'm in a para coy, which means I work with guys there were in the airborne regiment. and I was jumping the dead baby before we even got day packs. so I've got a little experience here.
but either way, we just use the issued day pack to carry crap now, cuz we've been order to. anywho
