Charging your electronics with your lipos!

(I think this count as gear)
Something I made at home, which converts the lipo to 5V output, and allows it to charge many consumer electronics.
The output voltage is abjustable, which also allows it to charge electronics that need other voltages. The build in voltmeter allows reading the output while abjusting.

Charging my kindle.

Charging my kindle with the build in voltmeter on.

Charging my phone. (the orange light means charging)

Charging my cheap Android tablet. (Please don't ask why the screen is cracked.)

Pros:
Highly "modular" compares to most "mobile power sources" on the market. When the lipo is dry, simply get another lipo to achieve very high capacity.
Uses ready available airsoft/RC lipo, designed for airsofters.
Small and compact.

Cons:
Still need external lipo alarm, no integrated over-discharge protection due to the size limit. (will be included in next version)
Current version do not support iPhone/iPad/iTouch. (will be included in next version or added as a iPhone/iPad specific extension cable)

Because the cheap tablets don't came with a protective case/bag, when it is placed in a backpack with hard objects, they crack...

So since none of your electronics have exploded or caught on fire, I'm guessing the actual charging regulator for the electronics is all on board. Which makes this incredibly genius.
Really useful for an airsofter that already has a LiPo charger, and probably some decent size LiPos around...
Now if only someone could make an antenna mod that makes your cellphone useful outside a major city lol

It's essentially a DC-DC step down converter. Personally, I wouldn't bother with all that.

I'd rather not over cycle my LiPo's to charge a digital device. Granted, the draw is relatively low but I rather something much more contained.

Much easier to use, charge and transport a 11,200mah external battery pack. Got the Konnet powerezpro for $40. Worth every penny when it can charge my iPad and iPhone at the same time or externally power my contour+ for hours.
