This is a mistake on the part of the customs officer of the day, when he's given a shitty wage and even less respect.

I've searched hi and low for ANY restrictions on body armour, and the only thing I found was it couldn't be stolen/taken/"borrowed" out of the forces (duh - theft is theft). Soft armour is no problem at all (just watch out for shipping, expect roughly about twenty dolalars to fourty dollars for shipping alone, USD). Hard armour is usally restricted not by Canada (holly shit, can you believe we can actually own this stuff with the FIBerals in power? :banghead:  ), but by the exporting country (the states are particularly sticky about this one). I'm tempted to give steel plates a whirl.

That being said, I know Farmboy (I think it was?) said he could procur some.

Mag pouches will be the least of your worries. Kevlar helmets aren't even hard to import. Commando daggers however...yeah :innocent:

All the gear listed above can be found in Canada with no restrictions.

There are quite a few small surplus stores that don't have websites that carry lots surplus cam, helmets, flak jackets, the trick though is finding and getting to them. That said, I'm pretty sure ArmyIssue could find most of it.

I can get plates, however I do not stock them.

Most of the Arktis line, which most of Europe uses, is now up on my website.

Just wiki and learn something about the modern German Army...actually, read the German Impressions thread and you'll be better off.

Combat Kit
Located in Croatia, they produce solid modular kit and accesories in a variety of European camoflages, from DPM to M84. They also give a lifetime guarantee on their products.

Quality
I can guarantee you the quality from the thread to the fabric, 1000D Cordura, AMANN tread, MIL-SPEC webbing, YKK plastic parts, YKK zips and Velcro.

My products have been well tested by soldiers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, USA, England, Afghanistan, Iraq, France, Netherlands, Kosovo and Bosnia with good results.
I can guarantee you that I'll be picking up some of their pouches for use on my Osprey and L119A1.

Here some German pages where you can get your stuff.
I´m actually in Germany so I use/used them and they are all doing fine:

http://www.asmc.de/en (English Site)

http://www.sturm-miltec.de/ (Pretty huge was already there and also english site although it´s a retailer so you should order as a club or business)

www.begadi.com (There are also airsoft guns but you better never import weapons nor relevant weapon parts)

http://www.armyonlinestore.com/ (good stuff but looks like it´s in German only but maybe you find a button to switch language)

http://www.troph-e-shop.com/ (nice shop and also in English)

So if you don´t find the German uniforms or parts I guess you won´t find it anywhere.
