Hello all, new to the community need help getting my 3 guns working again TM MP5, TM Ingram, WA 92F

Hello there, I have a few questions. I was once collecting airsoft on my trips back and forth from japan in the 90's, i've stored and not used my equipment for a while, but after a recent trip to Las Vegas where I fired a real HK MP5, I wanted to get out my old gear and shoot up some targets. Unfortunately it seems storage hasn't been kind to my equipment I'll need new batteries, and some maintenance on my GBB's

Question #1 - TM MP5A5 with 560 Motor. Aside from the dead battery I believe it's working well, I would like to increase the rate of fire and FPS a little so it can at the very least pierce one side of a pop can. Any suggestions on a cheap upgrade. I've done a lot of reading and apparently not doing the full service can cause me to tear up gears and other parts of my system.. since it's so old I'm not even sure of the quality of the stock gear box. I don't want to spend $300 on a SystemA complete gearbox and motor upgrade, but i'd love to get the performance of the current TM MP5 HC edition. I would also love to replace any plastic parts with full metal.

Question #2 - I have a 8.4 V 600mAH TM charger and discharger for the original 600mAH nicad, if I order a 1600mAH NiMH, can i still use this charger or do I need to get something else.

Question #3 - Western Arms Berretta 92F. I can fill the clip with gas, and load up the BB's okay.. No leaks or hissing.. However while firing now.. I can get a few shots off normally, but then i'll start getting full gas discharge or weak shots, or full gas depletion shots.. I'm assuming it has something to do with ageing and maybe lubrication?? What should i look at first, if it is lube, will wd40 work?

Question #4 - TM Ingram GBB. I have one clip that leaks gas, so i can't fill it - any way to fix it, or just buy a new clip. 2nd clip takes gas, but i also run into a mid-fire full gas discharge before the clip is done. so it's like the gas bursts aren't working well. Also on the metal folding stock, when I turn it downwards, there is a metal stub that lets it lock into folded down mode, its become loose and I need a way to permanently keep it attached, epoxy won't work. its just a nub that the stock needs to click over and into in order to keep the stock in the folded down position.

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

I'm looking forward to playing with my airsoft again. I'm also considering getting a new CYMA EAG BB edition full metal unit or the Asia Electric Gun G36C from either uncompany or wgc in china. They are both offering free dissassembly until Dec 31, At the cheap cost of the guns, I think i would be willing to risk losing it. But I'd like any opinions on the AE G36 or CYMA MP5's.

ps. I just realized i should have posted this in the newbie section.. Is there a way to delete or move this thread?

1) I'd say something like the Modify FTK would probably do the trick if you're looking for a relatively cheap "upgrade" or replacing some parts.

2) Yes it will work just keep in mind that it will take ~2 hours and 40 minutes to charge the new battery compared to 1 hour for the current battery. I would highly recommend getting an RC smartcharger from your local RC hobby store. Your local RC shop staff will know their way around batteries and chargers. (PS: It's ideal to charge at 1C, in your case 1600 mAh or 1.6 Amps for the new battery and 600 mAh or .6 Amps on the stock battery and will take an hour to complete charging. However some people "quick charge" at 1.5 or even 2C with not that much negative effects from what I've seen just the battery gets really hot (this corresponds to 2.4 and 3.2 Amps respectively and it will take 45 minutes and half an hour to complete charging respectively).

3) WD40 is NEVER TO BE USED AS A LUBRICANT! It is for WATER DISPLACEMENT NOT LUBRICATION. Sure it may work like lubrication but that's just like saying that dish soap and laundry detergent do the same thing. Instead pick up a tube of White lithium grease and some RC Shock oil (100% silicone oil) for lubrication.

4) It can be repaired. I've never done a leaky mag repair myself but I guess it's just a matter of taking out the o-ring and going to Home Depot or whatever to find an o-ring that is the same/similar in size and such. As for the stock, what material is it? You'll require different glues depending on if it's metal on metal, metal on plastic or plastic on plastic.

Would the hurricane kit work, I'm thinking M100 since i won't be replacing the gearbox. Would upgrading to the EG1000 over the EG560 work well with a FTK, or am i going down a path to damage.
