Huge wholesaler Palco Sports comes into Canada

Palco Sports will be opening a Distribution center within the very near future in London Ontario Canada. Any day now.

Palco is a very big "wholesale only" Distributor of medium to low end Airsoft

Things should get cheaper and easier to access; they currently have accessories and AEG IN STOCK in London.

This belongs in the news section :-)

Palco does supply chains like princess auto already, but they also supply most larger Airsoft retailers in Canada already.

I am not so happy about this me personally, but it does mean that Canada is finally being taken seriously. Unfortunately it will make life miserable for the Smaller local wholesalers that did all the work to get things moving in Canada. operations like mach1 that did the work and developed the market.

It is, how it is

Opinion not educated-> Seems to me this'll drive the prix of airsoft in general down.
Quality brands will want to reduce their prices to compete with the influx of readily available lower cost/quality airsoft and parts.
They know marketing; they know a mass of intro airsofters will be willing to spend for low-rate airsoft. And the HQ brands will be there to pick up the newly-addicteds' pieces.

Palco is Cybergun's North American arm. They've been supplying a number of Canadian retailers for years now. A Canadian distribution center might help their logistics (i.e., you'll eventually see more of their products in stock rather than OOS) but I doubt it'll translate into anything tangible for consumers otherwise. MAYBE the orange tips will go away if products are coming directly to Canada.

was wondering why all their items listed on the site were cybergun offerings.

That explains things.

Paying lower taxes to operate here in Canada than the US, why do you think Wendy's bought Tim Horton a few months back.

I don't foresee any major changes, a lot of Canadian retailers already deal with the American branch of Palco.

They don't seem to know much about airsoft. Palco Canada called me the other day, when I asked what brands they carried they listed stuff like Sig Sauer, Kalashnikov, H&K... They know how to hit mass markets.

A Canadian distribution center is a warehouse; they aren't moving their corporate HQ here.
