KJW M9 Nozzle Return Springs Scrunching

Hey all.

So my KJW M9 had been running fine for a number of games, until all of a sudden, I heard a scrunch noise come from it. When I pulled the slide off and looked, I saw my nozzle return springs all scrunched up!

I have a spare set of M9 springs that include spare nozzle return springs, so I go to install it, and when I manually pull the nozzle forward, these return springs start scrunching up instead of being kept linear; exactly replicating what happened to my initial stock springs.

Could somebody give me pointers to correct this? It's pretty weird, and I did some searching and haven't found anybody having this problem. Makes me a little worried that something in my blowback assembly broke.

By "scrunching up" do you mean they compress and tangle up, tangle up without compressing, or do they just compress and not decompress?

They are supposed to compress linearly, but instead they start compressing and then the middle of the spring pops vertically out of the metal blowback unit housing, and when the nozzle returns, it scrunches/tangles up into a snarl.

The M9 nozzle does not support the springs well and allows them to move around alot when they compress. If you retract the nozzle (compress the spring) then release the nozzle, the springs should return to the way they were before you retracted the nozzle and the nozzle should seat all the way back in the BBU. If it doesn't your springs may be damaged or bent in some way to cause it to bunch up.

The good news is those springs are not critical in the function of the gun and can be removed, the gun should still function fine. The only thing that will have changed is the nozzle will not return with those springs but when the slide is pushed forward with the recoil spring.

If you need replacement springs I have some at the store, I PM'ed you the details.
