I'd keep my money if I were you.

Nothing more than a expensive paperweight.

And shouldn't have a bayo lug ^^

Oh? You can't just tell me that without an explanation
This one was just released so I thought it may be improved over their original.
I am sure the bayonet lug could be removed. But ya, why are they shit? I actually want to know, not bullshittin.

Adam, take a look at the youtube video on the TMC page. There is wear on the bolt group in the video. No different than previous models, the bolt group on the Marushin Carbine are made from a weak metal. It shatters into pieces. The metal isn't strong enough to take the repetitive violent back and forth action.

I have owned 3 Marushin Carbines. The only one still working 100% ok is the Bolt Action style Carbine I bought used last year.

The lug can be cut off. Putting on a period correct rear sight is a bit of head scratcher though.

Poorly designed, pot metal parts, no NPAS, hard to find mags, no aftermarket parts.

This was designed for duster and even then, wouldn't last very long.

Throw CO2 in the mix and it's prone to break really quick.

Haven't found anymore information. though I have heard talk about the grease gun not having batteries in the mags....
what do you guys think? could ICS be going gbb on these? or aeg? I personally wouldn't mind either (gbb being preferable though)
Hi do you know where to buy a luger handgun (german gun) online out of canada? I read somewhere that they are illegal but that doesn't realy make sense...I looked around the net but all I could find were american sellers that won't ship to canada.

get age verified, it is against site rules to tell un verified members where to purchase guns.

Here's a review / initial impression I found:

Quote:

Well Just got back from a Business Trip and much to my surprise, was a large box waiting for me on the dinning room table! Being that I paid for the lowest shipping (still expensive), I was happy to see that I received the M1 within a week from ordering!!

When I unwrapped the package I was greeted by a cardboard and foam box.

After breaking the seal and pulling the top off the box I found manual, written in Japanese and a catalog.

Now for the goods! Package included the M1 Carbine CDX, heavy magazine, bb.s and gel pack.

My initial impressions:

This little gun is light and solid. Does not appear to be as heavy as my real steel, but it does feel very solid and comfortable to shoulder.

Cycling the bolt, it maks a nice "clink" when the bolt goes home, but again it is not a responsive as the real steel. That's OK as it's an airsoft gun!

The color of the stock is a little more red than my liking, so I will darken the stock in the near future.

I knew this came with the type three barrel band, so I had intentions of changing this out to a type !!. My curiosity got the best of me, so I took the front sight off, loosened the set screw on the barrel band and slid it right off. It's not like a real Type III, but made from two parts.

The band goes over the barrel shroud, but I did replace it with a real Type II with no issues.

Magazine
The magazine is large and heavy. It needs to be large enough for the co2 12gram cartridge to fit inside. It is larger than the real steel magazine and will not allow the stock pouch to snap closed. To me that's a small price to pay for a carbine though.

I purchased a 2nd magazine for $46, so this is not going to be a cheap solution to make this a skirmishable weapon.

Side View

Front View

Bottom View

Shooting

I loaded the magazine up with 15 .25's. Slide a co2 cartridge in and screwed the bottom on until it was snug. I inserted the magazine, gave it a tap to make sure it was seated, retracked and released the charging handle, rotated the safety towards the trigger housing and BANG-Clink, BANG-CLINK, BANG-CLINK! Very satisfying cycle of fire. The rounds flew true for about 150' and hit a small sapling I was aiming at. I have not benched this yet or conducted a chrono. When I have a little more time Ill let you know some details on the FPS and accuracy, perhaps I'll wait until I take this to the field at the Failaise Gap game on the 25th.

Metals

I decide to use a magnet to test which parts would be conductive (steel).

The barrel jacket does not attract the magnet, and after removing the front site, it appears to be aluminum.

The bolt is stee. The receiver appears to be aluminum. The trigger group is steel and the trigger housing appears to be aluminum.

Overall
Overall, I'm very pleased with this carbine and glad to have it!

Using a magnet test, the barrel jacket appears to be aluminum, the bolt is steel, the receiver appears to be aluminum. The trigger group is steel and the trigger housing appears to be aluminum.
He's pleased as punch so far.

Oh yeah. I wouldn't use the term steel when describing the bolt group on my Carbines.

Looks promising.

Review reads as if the writer will be gaming it on Aug 25. Hopefully he posts how it goes.

I am tempted too. I'll wait for the reviewers post-skirmish comments though.

The Carbine would be a nice addition to my SAS impression.
