Wow..

While we are talking about cameras, anyone tried VIO POV.HD? I'm thinking about picking it up. Sure it has a bulky "base" and a cable.. but video should be better, it has a fancy remote and it uses AAs..

My bad I didn't notice... Not as bad as the guy that did the 5 year necro though

I was going through all of the pages and reading stuff because I was bored.

For size the Tachyon Ops are a great line of cameras they were designed specifically with combat sport in mind.

I've got the Tachyon ?XC? that was part of the group buy couple years ago.

Can't say I have really used it as it should be used... little bit of helmet cam stuff on training, or strapped to the boat, but other than that, it's collected dust.

Might dust it off again. Had some thoughts about doing a dash cam lately, with all the shitty drivers around lately.

Read a few reviews of the replay before I got my Contour GPS; Also saw a few comparative videos between the two: While the replay is very interesting for its form factor, the Contour had a much much better image.

You might want to look at reviews before buying just to be sure its what you want.

About necro's: Ain't it better to Necro an old post and stay in the same topic than to create a newer one about the same thing? I find it interesting to see how things evolves from time to time in these situations. Just sayin'

The contour looks better all black and sleek. While the go pro has that clear plastic casing. Sure it can take a beating but idk I spent all the money on camo.

GoPro Hero HD ( 960 filmed in r2 )

Helmet cam view
http://youtu.be/anzFYhOdRC0

Gun cam view ( gopro seat post mount used ) you will notice my helmet cam mount as well. Sound is a little muffled as I was using the waterproof door over the sleleton door to prevent bb damage to the back of the camera.

Contour HD goggle strap mount

http://youtu.be/DoIOBrPNuzI

http://youtu.be/ZyOSUySgbjc

User preference really,,I prefer the GoPro as its waterproof shockproof, the contour ( stock without case ) is only water resistant.which ever one suits the need is the one that works!
