I have to go with the MG36. Who else would make people shoot others with a giant pen15 other then HK?

But it's made by STAR and based off an M4...

Stat-wise, I think it's terrible, but based on looks, IT'S FREAKING AMAZING.

For sci-fi, I'd say go with the IkaZuchi.

Edit: Or the XM8, even though it's a real gun. It looks pretty futuristic, but I don't think many good companies make it.

actually only SRC has been know to make the XM8 but they are not making it anymore I think ... too bad the only bad side on that gun is the rail system and such I'd like to have possibilities to put a Eotech on it (I hate aimpoint so)

The Steyr Fking Elite. I'll be saving up for one of these babies during my summer job. And let's not forget it's older brother we all know and love from our childhood FPS games, the Steyr Scout.

In Firefly, The G36 was the standard assault rifle prop used. I cast my vote for it.

It would definitely be possible, but way too costly to be worth it.

Nerf gun plastic's pretty brittle/thin. It would have to be seriously reinforced internally.
